Christmas Sugar Cookies

    1 Cups Powdered Sugar

    1 Cup Butter

    1 Teaspoon Vanilla

    Teaspoon Almond Extract

 

1 Egg

2 Cups Flour

1 Teaspoon Baking Soda

1 Teaspoon Cream of Tartar

 

 

  1. Cream together butter an sugar.

  2. Add egg and flavoring; mix thoroughly. 

  3. Stir dry ingredients together and blend into creamed mixture.

  4. Cover or wrap tightly and refrigerate at least 2 - 3 hours.

  5. Heat oven to 375

  6. Divide dough in half and roll 3/16" thick on lightly floured pastry board.

  7. Cut with cookie cutters and place on lightly greased cookie sheets.

  8. Bake 7 - 8 minutes or until delicately golden.

  9. Cool on cookie sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire cooling racks.
