Cream Candies

1 1/4 cups sugar

1/4 cup hot water

1/2 cup cream

1/4 tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla or almond extract 

  1. Put ingredients in sauce pan and stir until blended.

  2. Let boil (do not stir) until soft ball stage.

  3. Pour into pie tins and let stand until lukewarm.

  4. Beat until smooth and creamy.

  5. Roll between handing into small balls and place on waxed paper and flatten.

  6. Store covered in refrigerator.


Makes 2/3 pound.
